Penis size and small penis complex
It is not known exactly the historical origin of the male preoccupation by the size of his penis. It may be this or maybe an ancient obsession was only after the conquest of the welfare state, when men began to consider the importance of this issue.
Anyway it is obvious that penis size today remains a concern that affects a significant number of men. Despite the persistent information that exists about it and attempts to demystify the benefits of a large penis, it seems that the phrase "size does not matter" is not deep enough depth in the male psyche.
Proof of this is the high volume of requests that still are made on the subject to urologists, psychologists, websites and manuals sexology. For if there is any doubt that this problem continues today, look at how miraculous remedies continue to proliferate to increase penis size.
In a society that somehow we assume that the ultimate symbol of masculinity is the penis, it is concluded that a larger penis is more synonymous with virility.
No wonder that in moments in history where scientific research about it was not as comprehensive as the current mythology about penis size this relationship-masculinity was dominant. Added to this are misleading comparisons with other penises seen in magazines and erotic films.
No help at all the exaggerated displays of some friends who ridicule a penis less than 20 cm. or references to the adequacy of a good size sex heard in TV shows, movies and commercials, an influence that increases when these messages are based on beautiful women who only see on the screens.
It should be mentioned that some parents induce their children with psychological trauma in childhood, when comparing their penis with other children their age. In this respect it seems that most men believe they would be happier if they had a larger penis than they do, no matter the size of this more than normal.
At the root of all these reasons is the same feeling, the fear of not living up during sex, not to please our partner, to be considered not "man."
